As we gear up for State of Origin Game 2 on Sunday, we have compared the Top 10 Brands on radio in New South Wales and Queensland over the last four weeks.
Harvey Norman took out the top spot in both states, but NSW aired three times more spots than its counterpart. Sea Hit 101.3 Central Coast aired the most spots for the advertiser, while in QLD Gold 925 Gold Coast was out in front. Domayne also was the second most advertised brand in both states.
AirCheck Client Services Executive, Riarne Gale said ‘Collectively, New South Wales aired over 100,000 more radio ads than Queensland in the last four weeks. There were also 500 more advertisers on air in Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast, compared to Brisbane and the Gold Coast’.
National Tiles was in at No.3 for Queensland while in New South Wales, 1,343 spots landed the advertiser at No.7 – an impressive feat with spots only aired in Newcastle.
Coles had relatively similar campaigns in the two states, with a difference of only 40 ads.
Local Government promoted their ‘Love Water, Don’t Waste It’ campaign in Sydney with a total of 1,686 spots, meanwhile Queensland publicised the ‘StreetSmarts’ Campaign airing 963 ads.
