Brisbane is set to play host to the 2032 Summer Olympics. To celebrate the exciting news, we’re putting the spotlight on the Sunshine state and comparing the top brand advertisements in Brisbane and the Gold Coast over the last four weeks.
During this period, 129,071 ads went to air on 10 radio stations across the market. Nova 1069 advertised the most unique brands with 333, while 4BH ran the fewest with 89.
Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd advertised heavily during this time, airing a total of 5823 spots across its Harvey Norman and Domayne brands. Hot-Tomato accounted for over 23% (1355) of the advertiser’s spots during this period, the most of any station.
Coles was the third-most aired brand with 1576 instances across nine stations, as home improvement and construction brands – National Tiles and Plantation Homes – rounded out the Top 5 with over 1200 spots each.
973 in Brisbane aired 23 out of the Top 25 brands, missing only Oceanside Services and annual agriculture show Ekka. In fact, 4KQ accounted for 60.5% (374) of Ekka’s radio advertising in the market.
