Sydney Music Crossovers

KIIS1065 and 2DayFM shared 21.7% of tracks played during the last four weeks. This was closely followed by a 21.2% crossover between Nova969 & 2Day. In both cases, 2DayFM played a greater variety of tracks – for example 69.6% of tracks played on 2Day were not played on Nova969 in this time.

This comes after 2DayFM refreshed its playlist at the beginning of the year, but kept just over 20% of tracks played KIIS & Nova. When comparing 2Day to WSFM, they shared 11.8% of their playlists. Interestingly, the most played track across the two stations was ‘St Elmo’s Fire (Man In Motion)’ by John Parr after receiving 41 spins in the last month.

Smooth & WSFM had a 17.2% crossover, meaning that 17.2% of music played was played on both stations. Of the two, Smooth’s selections were slightly more broad, playing 44.8% of tracks that were not on WSFM. The most played track across these two stations came from Simple Minds with ‘Dont You (Forget About Me) with 53 spins.

With only 33 tracks played on both stations in the past four weeks, Triple M Sydney and KIIS1065 shared only 1.8% of their playlists. This included artists such as Kings of Leon, Gang of Youths while the most played track across the two stations was Vance Joy’s ‘We’re Going Home’ with 143 spins.
