With the results of radio Survey 1 of 2022 just around the corner, AirCheck takes a closer look at the commercials that aired in the Sydney market during the survey period (16th January – 26th February).
Nine Radio’s 2GB ran the most ads during Survey 1 with 27,393 instances. The talk radio station aired 340 unique brands, led by ‘National Tiles’ and ‘1-800-GOT-JUNK?’
1170 SEN ranked second overall for total number of ads aired with 24,400 instances. However, the station ranked ninth overall in the market for total number of unique brands with 171.
KIIS106.5 listeners heard the most variety of ads during the survey period with 401 unique brands going to air. 48 of those were exclusives in the market, including ‘NETGEAR’ (131 instances) and ‘All-Star Mile Fan Competition’ (106).
Overall, Sydney stations ran a total of 221,036 ads and 1,131 different brands.
