Now that the first half of the year is over, we’ve compared the Top 25 Most Played Songs between 1 January – 30 June 2018.
Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line snagged the top spot with 15,136 spins across 29 stations. The hit spent a massive seven weeks atop the AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart during January and February. The Nova network championed the track, spinning the track more than any other station, accounting for 4,926 spins or 33% of all airtime for the collaboration. ‘These Days’ from Rudimental, Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen wasn’t far behind at No.2, also received airplay across 29 stations but trailed by 72 spins. Similarly, the hit collab enjoyed six weeks in the top spot of our Airplay Chart. Vance Joy’s ‘We’re Going Home’ was the most played Australian song over the six month period gaining 10,089 spins across 31 stations. Other Aussies on the list include Pnau’s ‘Go Bang’ (No.17), Sheppard’s ‘Coming Home’ (No.23) and Amy Shark’s ‘I Said Hi’ (No.25) which coincidentally soared to No.1 in last week’s Airplay Chart.
