This week we have analysed the playlists of stations in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, comparing the crossovers and variety of tracks.
In Brisbane, Hit105 and Nova1069 shared the greatest number of tracks, with a crossover of 37.6%. During the four week period, 603 songs were shared across the two stations, with Pink’s ‘Walk Me Home’ the most spun track.
At the other end of the scale, 4KQ and Triple M Brisbane had the lowest crossover with only 9.3% of songs heard on both stations. In this time, Queen’s ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ was the top shared track earning 30 spins.
Sharing a fifth of their tracks, Hit105 and 973, garnered 260 spins for their most played song, ‘Close To Me’ by Ellie Goulding, Diplo & Swae Lee.
Taking a closer look at the Gold Coast, Hot Tomato and Sea Hit 90.9 shared a quarter of their playlists, again both stations had Pink’s ‘Walk Me Home’ on high rotation, while the crossover between 92.5 Gold FM and Hot Tomato was a little lower at 23.8% with Imagine Dragons’ ‘Bad Liar’ out in front.
