AirCheck Upgrade

(October 8, 2010)

Ad Panels, Dayparts & other enhancements.

Earlier this week, we upgraded the AirCheck™ website. In addition to performance enhancements, you will now find a new Daypart control and Brand Panels replaced with the more comprehensive Ad Panels.

Ad Panels
We have introduced the Ad Panels interface to the Ad Analysis report. It allows you to create, edit and delete three different types of Ad Panels, allowing the user to adjust panels as advertising campaigns adjust to follow market developments. Tracking these changes is key to monitoring activity.

The three different panel types are:

Brand Panel – Normally used to denote the Campaign. Brands can cover one or more individual sets of spots or display ads.

Advertiser Panel – Generally the company that owns the brand or product being advertised.

Category Panel – Used to describe the type of product.

Converting Panels – You can convert any type of Ad Panel to another. For example, you can convert an Advertiser Panel containing selected insurance advertisers and car dealers to a Category Panel containining "Insurance Providers" & "Car & Truck Dealers". This will help if you are looking to monitor competitors of the original advertiser list.

Dayparts
The daypart control has been enhanced and is now available in Ad Analysis, Song Analysis, Spot Placement, Top Songs & Spins Analysis. You can either select from the pre-defined list or create your own.

Day Filter – You can now select the days of the week on which to base your report over a date range. In the example below, only weekdays have been selected.

Time Filter – You can also specify the Hours Range, including time intervals up to the minute.

This combination is very useful when, for example, you only need to look at the placement of your campaign during breakfast (5.30am to 9am) on weekdays over a month. Interested in a real-time Airplay Chart of only Australian songs on weekdays between 6am and 6pm this year? You can get it now with the Spins Analysis report. Or did you want to see the Top 40 indies played nationally over weekends this month? The Top Songs report is the answer. Want to know which commercials played 15 minutes prior to the hour mark last week? Ad Analysis can show you now.

Top Songs Report - Media Selection Panels

The Top Songs report now works with Station Panels. You can build, edit, save, and then select multiple lists of media outlets whose results you wish to monitor. From Media Selection, you can either select your Default Media Outlet, choose one of your customised Panels or pick from the list of available markets.

You can also use the Advanced... option to make temporary changes to the panel or market you have selected. For example, you've selected the Sydney market, but want to deselect FBi.
